Many students in high-needs schools face a shortage of essential supplies and learning materials necessary for success. In fact, 92% of classrooms have students from families who cannot afford school supplies, often leaving teachers to cover these costs out of their own pockets.
Through the Subaru Loves Learning® initiative, Subaru and our retailers are committed to supporting education and high-needs schools in our communities. We are providing funding to teachers nationwide, enabling them to purchase the supplies and resources they deem most critical for helping their students thrive in the classroom.
AdoptAClassroom.org stands firmly behind the idea that every student should have access to the necessary tools and resources for academic achievement. Collaborating with supporters like Subaru, this nationwide nonprofit organization provides financial assistance to PreK-12 educators and schools serving underprivileged communities, aiming to furnish classrooms with essential supplies crucial for students’ learning and overall well-being. Since its inception in 1998, AdoptAClassroom.org has raised $57 million in funds, benefiting over 5.8 million students across the United States. As a 501(c)(3) organization, it has earned the highest 4-star rating from Charity Navigator and boasts the highest transparency rating available from GuideStar.

Since 2015, through the Subaru Loves Learning initiative, Subaru has teamed up with the American Association for the Advancement of Science to donate 369,393 science books to schools in communities nationwide.
